These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Gulex Ltd trading as Instant iFix (“Instant iFix”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By booking, requesting or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Services

Instant iFix provides repair and diagnostic services for:

  • Mobile phones and smartphones

  • Tablets and iPads

  • Laptops and MacBooks

  • Desktop computers and PCs

  • Other consumer electronic devices where accepted by us

We provide:

  • Home call-out repairs

  • Office call-out repairs

  • Postal repair services across the United Kingdom

  • Diagnostics and fault investigation services

Services may be booked through our website, telephone, WhatsApp, email, social media, referral or any other method accepted by Instant iFix.

We reserve the right to refuse, stop or decline any repair at our discretion where a repair is unsafe, commercially unreasonable, technically impractical or where there are concerns regarding ownership, abuse or suspected unlawful activity.

3. Eligibility and Ownership

You must be 18 years or older to book a repair.

By using our services you confirm that:

  • You are the legal owner of the device, or authorised to arrange the repair

  • The information provided to us is accurate

  • The device does not contain illegal, prohibited or unlawful content

  • You have authority to authorise repairs and costs

Instant iFix may request proof of ownership where reasonably necessary.

We reserve the right to refuse service where a device is suspected to be lost, stolen, fraudulently obtained or linked to unlawful activity.

4. Call-Out Repair Service

Instant iFix offers home and office repair services within selected local service areas.

A £9.99 call-out fee applies in addition to repair costs.

The call-out fee covers:

  • Travel time

  • Technician attendance

  • Inspection and diagnosis

  • Scheduling and operational costs

The call-out charge is payable even where:

  • You change your mind

  • The device cannot be repaired

  • You decline the quoted repair

  • Hidden faults are discovered

  • The repair becomes uneconomical

  • A technician attends but no repair is completed

The £9.99 call-out fee becomes non-refundable once technician travel begins or attendance takes place.

Instant iFix reserves the right to refuse unsafe premises or unreasonable working environments.

5. Postal Repairs

Postal repair services are available across the United Kingdom.

Customers sending devices to Instant iFix are responsible for:

  • Packaging devices securely

  • Removing SIM cards, memory cards or accessories where appropriate

  • Using tracked and insured shipping where appropriate

  • Correctly labelling packages

Instant iFix is not responsible for:

  • Transit delays

  • Courier damage

  • Loss before safe delivery to us

  • Damage caused by poor packaging

Customers sending devices do so at their own risk until received by Instant iFix.

Return delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to courier delays or parts availability.

6. Diagnostics and Quotes

Some repairs may require diagnostic testing before a repair quote can be confirmed.

Diagnostic fees may apply and, where reasonably possible, customers will be informed in advance.

Diagnostic charges may still apply if:

  • No fault is found

  • A repair is declined

  • Repair is unsuccessful

  • Additional hidden faults are discovered

  • The customer chooses not to proceed

All quotations are estimates and may change if additional issues, hidden faults or damaged components are discovered.

Where additional work is required, we will attempt to seek approval before proceeding.

7. Parts Used and Repair Quality

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Instant iFix uses third-party compatible replacement parts.

We do not generally use genuine manufacturer parts unless specifically requested and paid for by the customer.

Customers acknowledge that third-party parts may differ from original manufacturer components and may vary in:

  • Colour tone

  • Brightness

  • Touch sensitivity

  • Battery performance

  • Cosmetic appearance

  • Waterproof or dust resistance

  • Device notifications or messages

Certain manufacturers, including Apple and Samsung, may display software warnings after repair such as:

  • “Unknown Part” messages

  • Battery service messages

  • Display notifications

  • Calibration warnings

  • Feature limitations

Instant iFix is not responsible for manufacturer software restrictions or warnings outside our control.

Where genuine parts are requested, pricing and availability may differ.

8. Water Resistance and Device Seals

Opening a device may affect manufacturer water-resistant seals.

Although adhesive seals may be replaced where appropriate, Instant iFix cannot guarantee waterproof or water-resistant performance after repair, even if the device originally carried an IP rating.

Customers should avoid exposing repaired devices to water or moisture.

9. Data Backup and Customer Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for backing up all personal and business data before repair.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Photos

  • Videos

  • Contacts

  • Messages

  • Documents

  • Notes

  • Passwords

  • Applications

  • Business information

Instant iFix accepts no liability whatsoever for loss, corruption, deletion or compromise of data before, during or after repair.

Customers are responsible for removing passwords, passcodes, activation locks or security features where reasonably required to complete repairs.

Where passcodes are shared for testing purposes, customers accept that limited access may be necessary to test device functionality.

10. Hidden Faults and Pre-Existing Damage

Electronic devices may contain hidden, unknown or pre-existing faults which may only become apparent during repair.

By authorising repair, customers acknowledge that devices may already have:

  • Hidden motherboard faults

  • Water or liquid damage

  • Weak screens or internal components

  • Battery deterioration

  • Charging faults

  • Previous repair damage

  • Non-original parts

  • Bent frames or structural weakness

  • Software issues

Repairs involving damaged, liquid affected, bent or previously repaired devices carry increased risk.

In some cases, devices may fail during disassembly or further faults may appear despite reasonable care.

Instant iFix shall not be liable for unrelated faults discovered during repair or complications arising from existing device condition.

For liquid-damaged devices, successful repair cannot be guaranteed and devices may deteriorate further over time due to corrosion or pre-existing internal damage.

11. Timing and Repair Estimates

Repair times quoted are estimates only.

Delays may occur due to:

  • Supplier issues

  • Parts availability

  • Additional faults

  • Courier delays

  • Diagnostic complexity

  • Technical complications

Instant iFix does not guarantee same-day completion unless expressly agreed.

We are not liable for inconvenience, business interruption or missed deadlines caused by repair delays.

12. Customer Cancellation and Cooling-Off Rights

Where services are booked online, by phone, WhatsApp, email or remotely, customers may ordinarily have cancellation rights under UK consumer legislation.

However, by requesting repair services, customers expressly request that Instant iFix begins work immediately.

By agreeing to these Terms, customers acknowledge and agree that:

  • Repair work may begin immediately

  • Cancellation rights may end once work starts

  • Cancellation rights may end once parts are ordered

  • Charges may apply after technician dispatch or diagnosis

Special-order parts requested specifically for a customer may be non-refundable.

The £9.99 call-out charge remains non-refundable after dispatch.

13. Payments and Refunds

We accept payment by methods including:

  • Cash

  • Card

  • Bank transfer

  • Online payment methods

Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed.

Refunds will not normally be issued for:

  • Completed labour

  • Diagnostic work already carried out

  • Call-out attendance

  • Customer change of mind

  • Special-order parts

Any refund offered shall be at Instant iFix’s reasonable discretion unless otherwise required by law.

14. Warranty

Instant iFix provides a 12-month limited warranty on eligible repairs.

The warranty covers:

  • Faulty workmanship

  • Defective replacement parts installed by Instant iFix

The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical or accidental damage

  • Cracked screens

  • Liquid or water damage

  • Customer misuse

  • Software issues or updates

  • Battery wear or degradation

  • Manufacturer defects

  • Cosmetic damage

  • Third-party tampering or repair

  • Power surges or electrical damage

  • New or unrelated faults

Warranty claims may require inspection and testing.

Where misuse, accidental damage or unrelated faults are identified, warranty claims may be refused.

Warranty remedies are limited to repair, replacement or reasonable remedial action at our discretion.

15. Storage and Uncollected Devices

Where a device remains unpaid, unclaimed or abandoned, Instant iFix reserves the right to charge reasonable storage fees.

Where devices remain uncollected for an extended period and reasonable attempts to contact the customer have failed, Instant iFix reserves the right to dispose of the device or recover costs where permitted by law.

16. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to applicable law, Instant iFix shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of profits

  • Loss of business

  • Business interruption

  • Data loss

  • Loss of goodwill

  • Indirect or consequential losses

  • Missed calls, bookings or communications

  • Device downtime

  • Manufacturer restrictions

  • Hidden defects or existing faults

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the repair service.

17. Photographs and Records

Instant iFix may take photographs or notes of device condition before, during or after repair for:

  • Diagnostic purposes

  • Quality control

  • Fraud prevention

  • Dispute resolution

  • Warranty assessment

18. Changes to Terms

Instant iFix may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated Terms will be published on our website and continued use of services constitutes acceptance of those changes.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
